Twitter trolls Jack Wilshere...and it's brutal

Don't mess with social media, 'cos it can really mess with you. Arsenal's injury-prone superstar Jack Wilshere learned his lesson the hard way.

If you're of a sensitive disposition, look away now.

Hapless Jack was set to do a Twitter takeover for ESPN, using the hashtag #AskJackWilshere. And that's where the trouble began.

Questions included: "Do you get enough Vitamin D despite being in Dele Alli's shadow?"; "Do you feel your career as a professional NHS patient has been interrupted by football?" and "If you reply to these questions too fast will it injure your fingers?"

Well, he did ask.

The Mirror has compiled best of the beastings. Let them be a lesson to all of us.

Football gives back

We prefer cold lager to a Coke, any day. But this beautiful film by the folks at Coca Cola got us inspired. Turns out football is the real thing.

Jones+Tino are Brazilian creatives who have been working together since 2004 making incredible films for clients like Nike, Ford and Adidas.

They have worked with megastars like Ronaldo, but this film promoting Copa Coca Cola is more about the grassroots game. “You give everything for football. Now football is gonna give you back.” Enjoy.

Haters gonna hate

Some players go out of their way to wind you up. But who are the 10 most hated footballers in history? And have you ever played against worse?

Football Daily have identified the super villains of the beautiful game. The all-time chart of shame includes everyone from Suarez to Terry.

But do you agree with their assessment? We mean, is Arjen Robben really worse than Diego Costa? There’s only one way to decide…FIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!

We want one of those

We’ve seen the future and it’s going to improve your Soccer Sixes swag. This WiFi football tracks the power, direction and spin of shots so you can hone your skills.

The Inside Coach ball took three years to develop. It is packed with microchips and motion sensors and performs like a normal ball – but at £90, it is a fair bit pricier.

It wirelessly links to an app on your phone and gives real-time coaching tips via a headset. The only improvement would be if it blasted you with a Fergie-style hairdryer when you fail to play up to scratch.

Tongue Twisters

Any fool can commentate on a game...or can they? See if you can get your mouth round these difficult to pronounce player names.

The BBC has an entire licence payer-funded department devoted to its broadcasters getting tricky pronunciations right.

But simply working in TV is not enough to guarantee that you’ll get it right every time. Just watch the Soccer AM crew mangling the names of international superstars. See if you can do any better.
